Plastic covers for car speakers must be dried after cleaning and rinsing. A manufacturer of coated plastic components wanted to reduce energy cost while enhancing qualitative results. Heat pump based condensation drying offered the best solution to achieve this. Today, three Harter rack dryers and one non-compressed air blowing station replace the former ten drying stations. The components are dried completely at less than 65 °C within 11 minutes. The power consumption of the drying system was lowered from 200 kW to 42 kW.
