How Drying Can Generate Multiple Benefits
A long-standing and reliable partnership, committed to the highest quality, defines the collaboration between Galvano Wullimann and Harter. The South German dryer manufacturer has successfully implemented several drying projects for the large Swiss contract electroplating company. This resulted in reduced drying times, increased capacities, ensured quality, lowered energy costs, and saved space. The fact that Wullimann also received government subsidies perfectly complemented a comprehensive package of benefits.
Galvano Wullimann, based in Selzach, is one of Switzerland’s largest contract finishers. Its focus is on high-quality coatings for a wide variety of metal parts for the automotive, construction, and fittings industries, as well as furniture and mechanical engineering. Components for fasteners, stamped parts, and structural components are finished in 10 large-scale plants. Between 10 and 30 tons of functional and decorative surfaces are processed daily. Years ago, Wullimann became acquainted with Harter, the dryer manufacturer from Allgäu, through the Swissgalvanic association; Harter’s customer base also includes many renowned Swiss companies. Over 30 years ago, Harter developed its condensation drying system with a heat pump. With approximately 2,000 dryers, predominantly in the D-A-CH region, Harter has successfully solved many drying problems and optimized processes to date. At that time, the South German company was far ahead of its time with its heat pump technology. Today, this extremely energy-saving system is more relevant than ever before. It is well known that energy saving, alongside quality improvement, is a decisive factor for investment today. Furthermore, customers receive government subsidies for Harter dryers in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
