Modular drying systems in special format

With the customized and modular drying systems of the Drymex® S-Line, we can take local conditions and existing transport systems into account. In contrast to the compact M-Line dryers, the special systems usually have the heat pump module and the drying container set up separately and connected to each other with pipelines. With this technology, roll-off containers or skips, for example, are suitable as drying containers, which, with special adaptations, contribute to safe drying and uncomplicated disposal.

Drymex® operates with a closed air system. External climate influences have no effect on temperature and humidity. This ensures constant drying quality, plannable cycle times and high process reliability – all year round.
A wide variety of containers can be used with the S-Line. Classic options include roll-off containers or skips, which are specially adapted for drying applications with a ventilated floor and lid system, but can also be used directly for transporting the dried sludge.
In some cases, a so-called suspended ceiling construction is suitable – a drying container that is installed in the floor between the chamber filter press discharge and the loading container, and in which the corresponding amount of sludge is dried.
The S-Line offers the possibility of a fully automatic drying process in which dust generation is completely reduced. For example, with our multi-function floor, dried material can be conveyed out of the drying system via a conveyor belt and filled directly into big bags with a screw conveyor. All functions are PLC controlled and can be used differently in various programs. Cumbersome transfer with dangerous dust development is thus a thing of the past.

Heat pump-based dehumidification with heat recovery significantly reduces energy consumption. Compared to conventional processes, you reduce operating costs and CO₂ emissions – with consistently high product quality.
The dehumidification performance can be adapted to varying filling levels and different types of sludge via the volume flow control. This ensures that air permeability and degree of drying remain process-reliably within the target range.
The S-Line drying containers are manufactured from 1.4301 stainless steel or galvanized steel, depending on the size and application, to ensure long-lasting production. The Drymex® heat pump modules, which are usually set up separately, are constructed from anodized aluminum profiles. With our knowledge of the composition of your sludge, we adapt the design to the requirements as best as possible for a long-lasting, low-maintenance operation.
For special solutions, the heat pump module and drying container are set up separately. This allows the system to be optimally adapted to spatial conditions – ideal for confined areas, existing hall layouts and subsequent expansions.

In addition to the special solutions of the S-Line, HARTER offers compact container solutions for smaller sludge quantities up to 1.5t / day (see M-Line). For continuous application on a belt dryer, please refer to the B-Line.

The Process

The Drymex® heat pump module of our sludge dryers provides the required process air and is also responsible for the condensation process: We work with extremely dry and therefore unsaturated air and guide it homogeneously through the sludge. This combination of efficient air treatment and appropriate air flow ensures a high-quality drying result.

Interface Drymex® heat pump module / drying container: humid air is extracted from the drying chamber and fed to the dehumidification unit.

Moisture condenses on the fins of the air cooler and drains out of the drying system via the drip tray and condensate drain.

The air heater warms the air to the required process temperature.

The process air fan ensures the necessary air exchange between the Drymex® heat pump module and the drying chamber.

Now, the dry, unsaturated air is guided into the drying chamber. This closes the circuit.
