Drying your sludge after pre-dewatering results in savings of up to 75 percent. To the extent that you reduce the water content of your sludge, you also reduce your operating and transport costs. Less weight. Less volume. Lower costs.
With our process, you dry your sludge in a defined temperature range between 30 and 60 °C. The perfect interaction of extremely dry air and the correct air flow also ensures that the sludge is dried efficiently, safely, and homogeneously.
The dehumidification process takes place in an energetically closed system. This means that our drying systems operate completely independently of climate and weather influences. This ensures maximum process reliability.
The heat pump technology integrated in all dryers enables highly efficient dehumidification. This efficiency is always the basis for capacity expansions in the plants.
Our heat pump technology means a high degree of savings in your operating costs. You get a sensible and at the same time sustainable system – economical and ecological.

Compact models and special systems

Our Drymex® drying systems are suitable for pre-dewatered, water-containing sludges and substrates. We implement the drying process as a compact version or as a special design. The ideal type of system for you depends on several factors: the type of pre-dewatering, the amount of sludge produced, and your space conditions.

Factors such as the location of the press, decanter, or centrifuge also play a role here, which we perfectly integrate into our solution.

Solid sludges can be dried batch-wise or continuously, depending on the amount of sludge and the desired drying time. Our belt dryers are suitable for pasty sludges.

The Process

The Drymex® heat pump module of our sludge dryers provides the necessary process air and is also responsible for the condensation process. We work with extremely dry and thus unsaturated air, guiding it homogeneously through the sludge. This combination of efficient air preparation and appropriate air guidance ensures a high-quality drying result.

Interface Drymex® heat pump module / drying container: humid air is extracted from the drying chamber and fed to the dehumidification unit.

Moisture condenses on the fins of the air cooler and drains out of the drying system via the drip tray and condensate drain.

The air heater warms the air to the required process temperature.

The process air fan ensures the necessary air exchange between the Drymex® heat pump module and the drying chamber.

Now, the dry, unsaturated air is guided into the drying chamber. This closes the circuit.
