Drying Bulk Materials Safely

Our customer Verzinkerei Kriessern from Switzerland invested in rotary drum dryers to increase its capacities. Harter dryers were integrated into the process chain, enabling drying directly in the drum. In this case, there are 2 rotary drum dryers for one double drum unit each. After the last rinse, the drums are moved directly into the dryer and completely, safely and gently dried within 10 minutes. The drying temperature is 70°C. The drums are moved minimally during drying. Each dryer is equipped with an automatic lid system as standard to keep the valuable heat in the system. 4 circulating air fans with a connected load of 1.6 kW each are installed in each dryer. Two so-called Airgenex^® modules are connected to the dryers to condition the process air. Each dryer has a total connected load of 14.45 kW. The two heat pump condensation dryers demonstrably consume over 60% less energy than comparable exhaust air dryers.
