Rehearsing for an Emergency

This year, the Stiefenhofen fire department conducted its annual main exercise at our premises. The exercise simulated an industrial fire in a completely smoke-filled production hall, including personnel rescue. Personnel rescue involved employees still inside the hall and those who needed to be rescued from the roof. In this manner, the firefighters also practiced high-angle rescue using a turntable ladder. As this was a simulated major incident, fire departments from neighboring towns were also called in.

To our great satisfaction, all firefighters and rescuers successfully completed the exercise. It is a very reassuring feeling for us that these volunteer men and women now know our premises in detail and understand what to do in an emergency.

As a token of our gratitude, we invited the Stiefenhofen fire department for a hearty snack. The special evening then concluded in a convivial atmosphere.
