At the HARTER Technical Center, we test drying processes for almost all applications – from surfaces, bulk materials and components made of metal, plastic or glass to packaging, pharmaceutical and medical technology products, as well as food, herbs, animal feed, sludge and waste products, and any individual special cases.
For products from the surface, food and sludge sectors, ready-made test systems are also available. We test your original products free of charge, determine the optimal parameters and document the results; on request also at your site with rental systems and special structures.

Custom manufacturing & special solutions
Whether special geometries, demanding materials or tight spaces: HARTER develops customer-specific drying systems based on Airgenex® or Drymex® technology. In the technical center, we validate parameters, define air flow and cycle times and transfer the results to modular systems – from the individual chamber to the line, optionally with blow-off technology, cooling stage, data recording or GMP-compliant design. The result: a solution that is technically suitable, energetically efficient and can be seamlessly integrated.
Practical – Reproducible – Efficient
From the idea to customized drying
We develop reliable drying recipes from tests: temperature, time, humidity, air velocity, volume flow and air flow. This reduces risk, shortens commissioning times and saves energy.
Systematic parameter finding
At the beginning, we define target residual moisture, quality characteristics and cycle times. We then vary temperature, humidity, speed and air flow in structured series. This creates an optimal drying profile that is reproducible and can be integrated into your line. We record the results in a test protocol with measurement curves and evaluation.
Universally equipped – with quick start for typical cases
Our technical center is designed for cross-application use. For frequent tasks (including surfaces, food, sludge), prepared test dryers exist for a quick start. For new products and complex geometries, we adapt air paths, nozzles and product carriers – until the drying process is homogeneous, spot-free and energy-efficient.
On-Site Tests & Rental Systems
If a test with us is not successful, we move it to you: with rental systems including instruction. You test independently in the production environment; we provide technical support, evaluate data and recommend scalable settings. On request, we realize special structures for larger quantities and defined cycle times.
Scale-up, documentation & transfer to the quotation process
We transfer the parameters and experience gained with your product one-to-one into the system design – from Airgenex® rack drying systems to Drymex® sludge drying module. You receive recipes, limit values and a detailed offer as a basis for investment, quality assurance and, if applicable, funding. The result: fast start, stable quality and plannable energy consumption.
