Housing design:

  • Frame housing made of stainless steel (1.4301), side walls made of stainless steel panels (1.4301), double-walled insulated
  • PP plastic belt freely selectable
  • Waste heat dissipation via plate heat exchanger (water) or additional condenser (air)
  • Hinged doors for filter changes, deflection unit on the infeed and discharge unit, and dirt tray access
  • A maximum of 10 modules can be strung together

Product entry design:

  • Paddle mechanism (made of stainless steel 1.4301) presses the sludge through a special perforated plate
  • Positive displacement pump presses the sludge through a die
  • Shredder to shred material, e.g. after the Weima press
  • All different application units are frequency controlled (this regulates the layer height on the belt)

Drymex® basically works in a closed air system. Openings at the inlet and outlet of the belt dryer are unavoidable due to the process, but are kept as small as possible and taken into account during the technical design.

External climate influences therefore have hardly any effect on temperature and humidity. This ensures constant drying quality, plannable cycle times and high process reliability – all year round.

Selected belt materials and designs of the B-Line ensure that sludge does not stick and is well ventilated. The dry process air flows evenly through the sludge, quickly absorbs moisture and reduces drying times with low-dust, stable results.

Our B-Line drying modules require a feed of the sludge into the hopper above the first module, as well as a discharge of the dried sludge.

Heat pump-based dehumidification with heat recovery significantly reduces energy consumption. Compared to conventional processes, you reduce operating costs and CO₂ emissions – with consistently high product quality.

Drymex® B-Line dryers have a PLC control system that allows you to control the functions of your system. Individual settings for humidity, temperature, belt speed and volume flows ensure the perfect process sequence and a convincing drying result. Drying programs run automatically and independently – for reproducible quality and minimal supervision.

The high-quality mechanical design of the B-Line in stainless steel 1.4301 ensures a long service life, even in aggressive environments. The heat exchangers and refrigeration technology of the B-Line are specially designed for corrosive conditions and ensure high value retention and a stable process. Sophisticated conveyor technology with deliberately selected materials guarantees safe and low-maintenance operation.

The B-Line drying modules include drying belt and heat pump technology in one and can therefore be expanded modularly in order to process the correspondingly required throughput quantity. Each module has a length of 2,000 mm and can be designed in different belt widths according to the size.
A total of up to 10 modules can be strung together (drying section 20m).

In addition to the belt drying modules of the Drymex® B-Line, HARTER offers compact container solutions for smaller sludge quantities up to 1.5t / day (see M-Line). For customized or larger batch dryers, please inquire about the S-Line.

The Process

The Drymex® heat pump module of our sludge dryers provides the required process air and is also responsible for the condensation process: We work with extremely dry and therefore unsaturated air and guide it homogeneously through the sludge. This combination of efficient air treatment and appropriate air flow ensures a high-quality drying result.

Interface Drymex® heat pump module / drying container: humid air is extracted from the drying chamber and fed to the dehumidification unit.

Moisture condenses on the fins of the air cooler and drains out of the drying system via the drip tray and condensate drain.

The air heater warms the air to the required process temperature.

The process air fan ensures the necessary air exchange between the Drymex® heat pump module and the drying chamber.

Now, the dry, unsaturated air is guided into the drying chamber. This closes the circuit.
