The H01 is the versatile all-round tray dryer from HARTER: modularly expandable, for single-layer products on trays or bulk materials in tray pans (up to approx. 200 mm). Airgenex®-food operates in a closed loop with a heat pump – for reproducible results, low energy costs and high process reliability.

H01compact

The H01compact combines a drying chamber and Airgenex®food module in one housing – ideal for laboratories, product development and small quantities (approx. 30–70 kg/batch). Variable temperature range (approx. 30–75 °C), quick conversion between trays and pans, climate-independent drying and high reproducibility.

Process-reliable tray drying in batch operation

Tray dryers from HARTER dry products batch by batch on tray sheets or in pans – homogeneously, gently on the product and safely. The air flow is positively guided horizontally or vertically in accordance with the product and adapted to the product, filling height and target residual moisture. Airgenex®food ensures stable conditions and low energy consumption in a closed system.

One system for many products: single-layer drying on trays or bulk material in pans (up to approx. 200 mm). The tray dryer is basically made of stainless steel. We supply the loading (trays/pans) in stainless steel or plastic as an option. Conversion between the two configurations is quick – to suit hygiene, temperature and cleaning requirements.

Product-appropriate air flow: horizontal for trays, vertical through pans and then discharged horizontally. This ensures that even densely occupied levels dry homogeneously – without over/under-drying.

Gentle temperatures protect sensitive materials, surfaces and ingredients. Warping, cracks and loss of quality are avoided – product quality remains consistently high, and reject rates fall.
With a temperature control step, temperatures of up to 100 °C are possible.

Heat pump-based condensation drying in a closed circuit with heat recovery significantly reduces energy consumption and makes the process independent of the room climate – including predictable cycle times.

If standard baskets are already in use, the tray dryer can be operated with these baskets in stacks; alternatively, we can adapt the drying chamber to the dimensions of the existing loading options. This simplifies integration into existing workflows and reduces investment.
From a single unit to a multi-cabinet solution: usable space, configuration and performance grow with your requirements. This allows the system to adapt to increasing capacities – without interrupting the process.
If required, a cooling section is integrated to achieve packaging-compatible temperatures. Compressed air-free blow-off technology as a preliminary stage removes coarse water, shortens drying times and increases line efficiency.
In test series, we determine the temperature, humidity, time, air velocity and volume flow for your product. The recipes derived from this ensure reproducible results from the very first series.
The Process

We dry with dry air and deliver it to the right places: A perfect interplay of air preparation and air guidance provides you with the best possible drying result.

Interface: Airgenex® Dehumidification Technology / Dryer – Moist air is extracted from the drying chamber and supplied to the dehumidification unit.

The pre-cooler pre-cools the air in a first stage. This significantly reduces the compressor’s energy consumption.

Moisture condenses on the fins of the air cooler and drains out of the drying system via the drip tray and condensate drain.

The cooled, dehumidified air is warmed up without additional energy by means of a pre-heater.
The air heater warms the air to the required process temperature.

The process air fan ensures the necessary air exchange between the Airgenex® dehumidification technology and the drying chamber.

Now, the dry, unsaturated air is guided into the drying chamber, where it absorbs the product’s moisture. Thus, the cycle is closed.
